Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 4, 2026
Introduction
Daily Fathers ("we," "our," or "us") operates the website dailyfathers.app (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. We collect information to provide the readings and operate the website. We do not sell your data. Service providers process data as described below.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
When you subscribe to Daily Fathers, we collect:
- Email address - To send you daily readings
- First name - To address your readings (required)
- Last name - For record-keeping (optional)
- Timezone - To display the scheduled delivery time where you live
Browser Storage (LocalStorage)
The original website design stores your subscription form information (email, first name, last name) in your browser's localStorage. This allows us to pre-fill the form if you return to subscribe again.
Important:
- This data is stored only in your browser on your device
- We do not access this data from our servers
- You can clear it anytime by clearing your browser's local storage
- This is optional and does not affect the functionality of the service
- If you use a different device or browser, the form will not be pre-filled
Website and Email Measurement
We use Vercel Analytics and aggregate service events to understand website use. Reading emails include an open-tracking pixel. Hosting and email providers process request and delivery information. IP addresses are used for abuse prevention; the new signup service stores a keyed digest for its request limits.
When website design measurement is enabled, an anonymous browser identifier keeps your assigned design consistent. PostHog receives the assigned design, page exposure, signup completion, and selected interaction events. These events exclude names, email addresses, email hashes, form contents, referral codes, full URLs, and unsubscribe tokens. This website experiment does not use session recordings or browser fingerprinting.
The design assignment cookie expires after 90 days. Previously saved measurement declines remain respected until they expire. A separate theme cookie remembers light or dark mode for one year. Referral attribution and navigation source use session storage.

- Send you daily patristic readings via email
- Process your subscription and unsubscription requests
- Manage the waitlist if we reach capacity

- Measure service use, compare website designs with permission, and prevent abuse
We do not use your information for:
- Marketing or promotional purposes (beyond the service you subscribed to)
